1.   Q: What is Turquoise made of?

       A: Turquoise is a commonly found in copper deposits. Turquoise forms a series of hydrated phosphates of cooper, aluminum, iron and Zinc.

2.   Q: What are the other minerals that are cousins to Turquoise?

       A: Variscite, Faustite, and Chalcosiderite are also similar in chemical makeup.

3.   Q: How many Turquoise mines are in the state of Nevada, currently?

       A: Currently there are 452 Turquoise, Variscite, Faustite, and Chalcosiderite deposits in the state of Nevada.

4.   Q: What is Faustite?

       A: Faustite is a mineral that can be from a light green to a bright yellow and it is has a high content of Zinc, whereas Turquoise has a high content of Copper.

5.   Q: What is Chalcosiderite?

       A: Chalcosiderite is a rare Iron analog of turquoise and is only found in a few places in the USA.  Where it occurs in oxides zones of copper bearing deposits.
